Vermicomposting Speech
Vermicomposting is a concept of systems thinking in which we reduce waste. How we do this is we put the cafeteria waste into the worm bin and the worms turn it into worm tea, we put the worm tea into the garden and the garden produces food for the cafeteria and the system starts over. Worm tea is a liquid that builds soil consistency and organism health. We give the worms the cafeteria waste and they turn it into worm tea. This is called using leverage, greatest impact least effort. Last week we calculated that we collected 2.9 quarts of worm tea. So far this week we have collected 2.20 quarts of worm tea. Vermicomposting has been and will be and is a amazing source of creativity.
